Meloni hears from Pope Leo XIV: “We support his efforts for peace”

The President of the Council, Giorgia Meloni , had a telephone conversation with Pope Leo XIV .

This was reported in a note from Palazzo Chigi, explaining that "Italy appreciates and supports the efforts of the Holy See for peace and the cessation of conflicts in all crisis scenarios where weapons have taken the place of confrontation and dialogue".

Meloni renewed Italy's willingness to continue working, together with the Holy See, for an ethical development and service of man of artificial intelligence. A challenge that was at the center of the Italian Presidency of the G7 and whose centrality - for the defense of human dignity, justice and work - Pope Leo XIV recalled on the occasion of his meeting with the Cardinals last May 10.
